Zippity Zip

Oh, I am having a little zippered pouch obsession in my studio these days.  It started off with finally finishing this one little Gathered Clutch (pattern from Noodlehead).  I started it so long ago and sewed a funny seam that I just never got around to attacking with the seam ripper.  Kind of funny, because it took about a minute to rip out and maybe five more to finish it off.  Sat in that pile of unfinished projects for six months.

I decided I loved this pattern so much, I cut out a whole pile I showed you in my last post.  I only got one more finished (the rest are in varying stages of completion):

Those led to some more lined, zippered pouches for my son Jack's teachers.  His last day is Tuesday, aaack!

Just for fun here is the lining for all of them (I think selecting the fabrics is the most fun!):

By the way, I got all the fun colored zippers at Above All Fabrics.

Oh, and just for fun, our bounty from the garden today.  We ate them raw dipped in hummus.

  1. I love Noodlehead's patterns, too. Your blue clutch with the book fabric (that's what those are, right?) turned out great. I'm going to see if I can make something similar.

  2. Thank you! Yes, those are books on the little band across the front. Both fabrics from a collection called Venice I got at HawthorneThreads.com
