Fall Sqaures Giveaway!

Yesterday I shared my Fall Patchwork quilt.  I mentioned that I had quite a few 5" charm squares left that I would be giving away to someone today.  You can add them with some fabrics of your own to make your own fall quilt or you could make smaller projects with them to add some fall to your home.

You'll get an assortment of fabrics that I used on my quilt, including Heather Ross, Anna Maria Horner, Joel Dewberry, Amy Butler & more.  Just leave a comment to win - if you want, tell me what you think you might use them for.  I'll leave the comments open through Friday (10/7) evening and then  I'll pick a comment through the random generator and announce it this weekend.

This is how I quickly hand tied my quilt.  I sewed from the top side down into each intersection of squares and moved on to an adjacent point, working in a an area that could fit in my lap.

Then I cut the threads between each point in the middle and tied a double surgeons knot and trimmed the ends to about an inch.

Good luck on the giveaway!

  1. I would probably use these to complement some fabrics that I just bought. I'm making a smallish quilt for the daughter of a friend -- the daughter isn't quite 4 years old yet, but has such personality! :)

  12. Wow, that is such a great quilt! Good look on the Celebrate Color event, I think you have a real contender. This is a great giveaway, I would likely use most of the charm squares for a baby quilt, and then maybe make a pillow or two with the rest.

  13. Your quilt is so beautiful, but then again you always do wonderful work. ;)

I would like to maybe use them to make a quilt for the local Pregnancy Center here in my home town. They serve our county and help teen moms with various aspects of being a young mom.

    Thanks for thinking of us!
