do. Good Stitches January Blocks

Oh, lots of exciting things going on in the Joy Circle over at {do. Good Stitches}!  This month, the amazing Fiona, of  Poppy Makes, is hosting again and she chose these cute snowball blocks with I Spy fabrics.  This quilt will go to Project Linus in the UK.  Check out Fiona's blog, by the way, you'll see why I called her amazing.

I was holding off on this project dreading cutting out all those white squares.  Silly me, I have a rotary cutter, so it took about 43 seconds.

It was fun to go through fabrics and pick out some cute boy prints. I cut out some extra charms for myself.  I just got my envelope back from the Spoonflower I Spy Swap at crafterhours & am eagerly awaiting my swap package from Ellison Lane's swap.  Finally I have an idea about what to make, now I probably will have to make two because of so many swaps.  But, how great to be able to buy one yard and get back 56 unique squares?  I can't pass on that!

Oh, yeah - back to the do. Good Stitches stuff.  One finished quilt, the green squares from Jolene of Blue Elephant Stitches.  I am just in love with every quilt she makes, you should take a look!

And, one finished quilt top from the last time Fiona hosted.  Just love those dollies and postage blocks!

Oh, and my sewing room is a mess!  For Christmas I asked Andrew for a little room upgrade.  I wanted rid of a large square table in the center of the room in favor of an "L" shaped counter to make better use of space. We did everything ourselves and it's finished, but cleaning out and reorganizing (and pausing to admire) takes so much longer than you'd hope!
