Curves Camp: Week Three

Last week was advanced improv curves at Curves Camp.  As usual, Rachel had three amazing projects to choose from.  I initially selected the leaves mat:

I went a little wild with fabrics!  The main fabric is an older Anna Maria Horner print from her Garden Party line, the leaves are Kona Chartreuse & Celery, the border is an owl print from Alexander Henry and the binding is Kona Cerise.  I am excited about putting this mat to use in my laundry room!

The tricky part of this project was matching up the points of the leaves.

I just kept coming back to the Mod Buds notebook cover and finally just had to make one:

The tricky part of this one was the cup-like flower.  I threw away versions 1 and 2 of it!  But, I finally got a handle on it and I just love how this turned out.  I am planning to make these for teacher appreciation week, I've been wanting to ever since I saw the ones Rachel made for the do. Good Stitches circle hostesses.  This one uses Kona Ash, Kona Artichoke, the Hometown from Sweetwater and a lot of prints from Amy Butler's lotus line.

This is our last week of Curves Camp.  I wish it was going on a little longer.  I think Rachel mentioned having the class again, so if you are thinking of it, I would definitely tell you to go for it!
