do. Good Stitches April and BirchBox

I used to be so much better about getting to my do. Good Stitches blocks a little earlier in the month, but lately I've been in the nick of time.  With April, I was determined to finish in the first half of the month.  I almost did that!

For April we, the Joy Circle, made Star Weaving blocks using Kona Ash and the bright color palette of Twirl.  I didn't have any Twirl, so I am hoping the fabrics I selected are close enough.  I think the orange is a little too saturated.  These blocks should make for a really pretty quilt!

Okay, I am not much for keeping good things to myself so I have to share this one with you.  My friend Kate, self-proclaimed product junkie, alerted me to the BirchBox.  For $10 you get a lovely set of samples mailed to you each month (shipping included).  You can do a whole year, or just do it by month.  Even better, you can gift a subscription for a month, or three, or more.  What a cool girlfriends birthday gift!

My April sample set contained all eco-friendly products (seems like a pretty eco-conscious company - they even offset their carbon footprint from shipping) which included a large size of awesome lip balm (full size is $12, can't imagine how much bigger it could be), generous sample tubes of pomegranate firming cream & facial exfoliant, a perfume sample and two extras - Facial Scrub & Eye Cream.  Plus, it was all wrapped up so pretty, it just made my day when it arrived!  Now, this is not a sponsored post, but I will disclose that I get some points (still figuring it all out) if you click on the link and end up subscribing.  Okay, thanks for listening! -Courtney
