Quiltcon: Day One

I managed to get to Anna Maria Horner's hand quilting class just about twenty minutes late. Luckily, it was not a big deal and Bianca (of SweetDiesel Designs and Charlotte MQG) saved me a seat!

Anna had beautiful samples of hand quilting and lots of great tips. This is as far as I got:

I had a few other familiar faces in class, including Elaine (of Dashasel Sews). We have been in so many bees and swaps and online classes that we decided to have our own swap.

Here she is with the little sewing kit I made her.

I love the sewing kit she made me - it is the michelle patterns (formerly keyka Lou) project bag. So perfect! Perfect size and, obviously, perfect fabrics!

And here I am with Anna Maria Horner!

And our baby bumps!

Bianca and I also had a chance to walk through the vendor hall and quilt show exhibits very quickly after our class. The quilts are amazing! I am hoping to have some time today to check them out better.

I have to get ready for my Mini Quilts class with Lizzy House today. I will try to do a recap post to tonight.
