So this is New Year's Eve. I'm taking my kids to Noon Year's Eve at the mall where we will toast chocolate milk as the ball drops at 12. NOON! Seems like just last year I was wearing those 2000 glasses and partying it up in an outfit I spent at least month deciding on. Actually, I think I'll probably have more fun this year with the kids!
As much as I love Christmas, there's something nice about the
business of the holidays being finished. It felt good to get the tree
out and sweep up those last few fallen pine needles. As beautiful and
festive as the decorations are I am happy to have our house back to a
more normal state. There's just something about a new year that makes
me want a fresh start, a clean house, a more organized life. Aside from
the
physical cleaning and the junk food detox, I always try to focus on
being a better person, nothing Mother Theresa serious, just an
achievable, try harder kind of thing.
How about you? Do you make resolutions? Or try to focus on some areas of improvement? Does it last?
I want you to know that I started this blog to give back to the crafty cyber community out there. I discovered the online sewing world in 2010 and felt like I did a lot of taking - inspiration, tutorials, color schemes, etc. I thought it would be fun to document my crafty life and that maybe I'd have something to offer you all, too. Well, I have again taken more than I have given. You readers are the best. I appreciate you all so much. I wish you peace, health, happiness and all the fabric you have room to hoard in 2012!
I got kind of addicted to mosaics making my
Blogger's Choice Bundle. So here is the year in review:
