KCWC: Whale Pants
Last night I limited my sewing to reasonable time, and got in bed early (for me), unfortunately, I decided to start the Hunger Games on my new kindle. Needless to say, the boys have one tired momma who is eagerly awaiting their bedtime so I can get back into it!
I did finish these pants, from the book Growing Up Sew Liberated in a blue mini wale corduroy with embroidered whales. I chose to omit the cuff and add a faux fly. Looking back, they would be better without the faux fly, that is a lot going on in the front.
This overcast weather is really proving a challenge to my already lacking photography skills, but here are some slightly better pics of yesterdays projects:
These are the knee patches I added to a ripped pair of jeans. I used red jersey knit, ultra heat n'bond and some embroidery floss.
And here is the Flashback Skinny Tee in Lotsa Bots jersey from Spoonflower.
I received a special package in the mail yesterday! It is from Katie in my Pretty {little} Pouches Swap! I mentioned liking linen and bright colors, so I would say she is spot on with her pouch! I love the added mini charm squares and extra zippers - never enough of those, huh?
And this little guy is our new resident entertainment. He comes by quite often and the kids have a blast when they spot him, running over and yelling, "Squirrel, NO SWIPING!" It is pretty hilarious to see him jump up and get on the feeder. He flings himself from the window ledge and misses about half the time. Very entertaining.
Okay, so on the agenda for tonight is another Flashback Tee for Will, in a dinosaur knit, and at some point more shorts in the madras patch I bought for that purpose quite a while ago.
How is Kids Clothes Week Challenge going for you? Losing steam? I think I always start too strong.

I love those whale trousers (sorry I just can't call them pants!) and that little top is gorgeous! Would you recommend that book? Also loving those star patches! Think I might have to copy you :)
