Summer Tops
You'll have to bear with a few more badly modeled clothing items for myself. I have been up to some selfish showing - more summer clothes for myself. Some times the most daunting part of starting a clothing project for myself is cutting out all the pieces. One night last week I dedicated entirely to cutting and managed to get a nice stack of projects to work on.
This first top is in Wash Day from the Nicey Jane line by Heather Bailey. You can see the fabric better below. The pattern is Built By Wendy Simplicity 3835, I've blogged about it here, and it is the pattern in my profile picture on the right with the Amy Butler lotus print.
The next top I made from Anna Maria Horner's Socialite Dress Pattern. I adored the construction of the dress I made in Echino here and wanted to try a top. I simply cut it off at what I thought would be a top length, and made no other changes to the pattern. It works great as a top and might be my new favorite pattern! I made this one in Heather Moore's Hydrangea in Earth from the Cut Out and Keep organic collection.
And I will end with my favorite shady spot to sit outside when it is not 100 degrees:
